Hortense Oros is the visionary founder and president of GPH & Associates, a leading accounting firm based in Buford, Georgia. She is also a board member and accounting advisor for the
Kapadia Education Foundation.
Hortense was born on the Ivory Coast and moved to the US in 2000. She put herself through school at the University of Massachusetts, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting.
With a rich background in the accounting industry, Hortense has emerged as the catalyst behind the success and growth of GPH & Associates, helping other business owners achieve their dreams and succeed.
Early Entrepreneurial Spirit
Raised by her grandparents, Hortense learned the importance of hard work, self-improvement, and dedication early on. Her entrepreneurial journey began at the age of 8, when she started her first business, selling beverages made by her grandfather. This early experience instilled in her a drive to succeed, a quality that has been evident throughout her career.
Continuing her entrepreneurial pursuits, Hortense engaged in various ventures during her school years, selling small items to classmates and eventually operating her own food vending stand at the age of 17. This passion for entrepreneurship has not only defined her professional path but has also fueled her commitment to helping others succeed.
Professional Journey
Before establishing GPH & Associates, Hortense gained valuable experience in various roles within the accounting field. Her roles included senior accountant, staff accountant, billing management, and corporate collections specialist. Apart from her industry experience, Hortense is well-versed in various accounting software, including Sage Mass 500, Great Plains, QuickBooks, ACCPAC, Carevoyant (Infosys), FRX, Solomon, and Microsoft Excel. All this diverse experience equipped Hortense with a comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape, from intricate billing processes to strategic financial analysis.
